A Work From Home Career To Last A Lifetime

You can work from home with a career to last a lifetime whether you are skilled or not skilled. A career, which may get you to a financially better place, if you open your mind, and are determined and motivated.

Think about this... When you were in high school, you had to think about your future - your career. You had to think about what you wanted to do when you "grow up." You needed to pick a course curriculum for the career you chose. Careers are less likely to change in a person’s lifetime. People are more likely to keep the same career focus their entire life or change it maybe once, twice or even three times. Careers choices maybe being a doctor, a lawyer, an accountant, a teacher, an engineers, etc.

People who do not go to college for a career are more likely to have a job. If you work a job, you are more likely to switch jobs many times during your life. Jobs may include clerical related jobs, warehouse, factory, assistant type jobs, restaurant, blue-collar jobs, and entry level type jobs. Usually, jobs do not pay as well as a career does. Jobs usually don't get you far up the ladder and may not get you to the yearly salary you wish you could have.

Think about this...

Whether you have a career or a job, you have to buy things before you start with the company, right? Maybe you have to buy uniforms, dress clothing, tools, etc. All these items cost money and in most cases hundreds of dollars. How much do you think all the expenses you would incur prior to working with a company?

When remembering, when I used to work outside the home, I know I easily spent on the average of $500 right before starting a new job. Regardless, there are things you need to have before starting the new job and if you think about how much you usually spend then you will see this is like a "start up" fee.

Now, what about all the other expenses you incur when you are working outside the home, such as, gas, lunches, coffees, snacks, and daycare expenses? What about the extra wear and tear on your car? You are more likely to need to pay for repairs and regular maintenance of your vehicle when you are working outside the home. How much do you think those weekly expenses would be on the average? I would think with gas and food Monday through Friday is about $50-$100 on the average and with daycare expenses an additional $100-$300 a week. So, most people who work outside the home may spend $50-$400 a week including daycare expenses. YIKES! If the average person's expenses totaled $400 a week with a child in daycare, my first thoughts would be. WHY work outside the home. I would think a parent would save more money being a stay at home parent then working outside the home.

I never finished college, and I worked several jobs during the first 10 years after high school. I always had jobs that gave me skills but were likely to change because of not making enough money or not letting me advance up the ladder. I was sickened by my yearly salary, always thinking I was never paid what I thought I was worth. I was basically going no where. I was living check to check, and it was very challenging to pay my bills and have money to do things. I always thought I would have a job for the rest of my life, and even wondered when I would be able to afford to have children. My eyes and attitude changed when I had my first child. I was having a baby without knowing or even wanting to know about our future. I took a gamble and requested an one year maternity leave. I was very scared wondering if I was making a good decision. I was on a mission to either make or exceed my outside job income so that I would never have to return back to my job. Within six months I replaced my yearly salary by being motivated and determined to work from home. When my maternity leave was over, I called my manager and told her I was not returning to work because I was now self-employed making more money then my salary.

In order to work from home, you have to want to work from home. You must have a WHY. Why do you want to work from home? You must be motivated and determined, if you are not, you are wasting your time. You must also be open minded and remove the blinders. If you are not open minded and are walking around blinded, you are wasting your time. People who seriously are serious are more likely to succeed and not fail. People who think they will fail will probably fail. People unsure of themselves will be more likely to fail. People willing to learn and educate themselves is more likely to succeed!

Everyone can work from home with a fantastic career. Working with a good company, good training and good support will help you be successful!

A work from home career develops people in many ways. Since working from home, I have become more developed, more confident and more creative then I was before. I have also seen other people I work with change for the better. If someone is shy or lack of confidence can be developed to be stronger and better!
