Thinking About Your Life, Do you Have a Fulfilling Life?
Good Pastures Disease By: Stacy Perez
We hear of stories of people purposely or accidentally
sniffing things they shouldn't. Not only can it cause
harm at the moment but also possibly long term
harm.... It is something that may possibly contribute
to Good Pastures Disease.
Or you may hear of someone getting cancer or some
disease and thinking you have nothing to worry about
because it can't happen to you! WRONG! Anything
can happen and unfortunately, we don't know until we
get sick or find out from a doctor.
A few years ago, my Uncle Barry was diagnosed with
Good Pastures Disease, which is a rare disease.
My gosh, he was in his late 40s and without knowing,
his life changed forever!
All I heard was his organs started shutting down.
I heard something about his kidneys and lungs
shutting down all of a sudden and that it might be
hereditary.
Not sure how my Uncle Barry got the disease, and
I am not even sure what he did for a living which
may have possibly caused him to get it. I do know
he was smoker. AND smoking is something they
talk about in articles you find online about Good
Pastures Disease.
He ended up spending the last 3 years of his life
spending three days a week getting dialysis treatments,
because his kidneys were no longer functioning.. He
also spent time going in and out of the hospital for
problems or treatments over the last 3 years.
Today, my father called me. I saw him on my other
line but was in the middle of talking to someone. I
heard my voicemail and my father left a message
saying that my Uncle Barry just passed away today.
I could tell my father was torn up at the moment of
leaving that message.
My Uncle Barry is about a year younger then my father.
So, I am guessing my Uncle Barry was 52 years old
when he passed away today, 02-21-05.
I last saw my Uncle Barry, I believe March 2004 when
I was visiting my dying grandmother in the hospital.
My grandmother was in her 80s when she passed
away in March.
When I got to the location where my grandmother was at,
there was my father, his two older sisters and my
Uncle Barry and his wife. Also, my brother and
a couple of my cousins were there to visit our
Grandmother.
I got to spend some time with my uncle which I am
glad I did.. Unfortunately, it wasn't the environment
I would have liked to visit with someone.. It is amazing
how illness or knowing someone is going to die, brings
people together.
What I am trying to say is this.. You NEVER know when
someone's life is going to end.. Unfortunately, we are
not told ahead of time.. Living life and making
a happier life is something people forget to do.
When I was in Houston for an AmeriPlan event Feb 2005,
there was a movie played for us called "Live Life Like
You're Dying." Of course, when I saw the title, I didn't
understand about what I was about to watch. It was
emotional! AND it really opened my eyes to life.
So many people take life for granted and do not realize
their life could end tomorrow. Then what? It is too late!
Thinking about today.. ARE you living the life you want
to live? Think about it and seriously think about it.
The only way you can live the life you want is making
changes.. AND making a decision to do whatever is
needed to allow you to have the life you want and
deserve.
It literally scares me, being 35 years old and half
way to retirement age.. I look back and think.. If I didn't
change my life, more then likely I would still be living
check to check and suffering financially. Life isn't
at the point where I am financially free, but I do know
it is coming soon for me. I believe and know that
what I am doing today was meant to be.
I wanted to write this article to educate you about
Good Pastures Disease so you are aware of it! PLUS,
to remind you about "Living Life Like You're Dying."
DO NOT be satisfied with your life today if it is NOT
what you want. You have control over your life, and
the only way it is going to change is if you LET it change.
Please remember this article.. AND if you seriously
want to change your life to have financial and time
freedom DO it today!.. REALLY think about it!!! AND make the
change and make the decision to do what you need
to do to get what you want.. SO, you can "Live Life Like
Your Dying."
Sometimes, people know their dying.. AND that is when
they may do what they want.. To at least to be able to
do it or see it before they die.. If your attitude is to live
life the best way possible - enjoying life.. THEN at least
your life was fulfilled... BUT if you go on believing that
the life you have right now is the one meant to be, your
mistaken. BECAUSE you do NOT have to settle and
believe life is the way it is.. living check to check and
struggling. It just doesn't have to be that way.
I quickly did a search in a search engine and found
these articles. I recommend taking the time and learning
about Good Pastures Disease.
