I want to talk to you about working from home since I know it like the back of my hand. So, please take the time to read this. I am giving you a heart to heart email to help you.

Do you really want to work from home? I am asking you because you expressed interest in working from home by subscribing to my newsletter. My newsletter is what you chose to receive because you are probably seeking to work from home, right?

You probably know me from one of my websites DotComMommies, WorkAtHomeParents, InspiringParents, WorkAtHomeBooks, or ResidualMommies. You will find DCM or WAHP listed in several work from home books found at your local book store and an interview with me in a popular and known book, 2 radio interviews, several newspaper stories and once interviewed for the Entrepreneur.com website.

The internet is absolutely amazing.. you can self teach yourself anything on it. I have self taught everything I know to being able to make a nice income from home while educating others.

Now, I am work from home expert and educator. I know about making a living from home, scams, jobs, opportunities, etc. I know exactly what works and what doesn't. More then likely, I can help someone expand with whatever they are doing to increase their business or help someone develop multiple streams of income just by the one thing they are doing. I have guided many people over the years to making an income from home. That is absolutely rewarding knowing that just one more person is home with their kids.

Most people are looking for a home typing job or something entry level they can do right from home. You will also find that you will never find legitimate jobs doing those types of entry level jobs. You will also find that many people waste there time and have been searching for 1-3 years or sometimes longer. I have come across many people that have been searching for over a year. They just wasted their time.. You also have to deal with hundreds or thousands of people looking and applying for the same job. You also have to take into consider that with a supposed company it may not be secure.. meaning there is a risk of being scammed.

Honestly, this is my advice to you and anyone else...

1. Forget the work @ home job unless you are blessed where a local company will let you telecommute.

2. Start something from scratch where you will make money. I did it with my websites, ebooks, etc.. I am in complete control and there is no scamming me.

3. OR if you can not start your own thing from scratch, join a home business opportunity. I want to focus on this and tell you why I highly recommend this.

Starting something from scratch is something most people never do. Although, most people can do this if they are creative.. Everyone can technically start something from scratch and make money.

Because most people are afraid to do that or do not have the motivation to research and make it happen, then the only thing I can recommend is joining a home based business opportunity.

A home based business opportunity is NOT a work @ home job. In most cases there is some sort of start up fee. As long as you are getting something for that start up fee, and it is legit, then that is fine. When you are getting involved with a home based business opportunity, more then likely you have to invest something and getting a kit, products, etc.. is fine. A home based business opportunity the income is endless... The income will only get better. You are not cut off at a certain point like a job or getting paid by piece rate like a work @ home job. MAKE SURE there is a refund policy.. this is crucial.. as long as you know about the refund policy then there is NO risk to you what so ever.

Like you .. I NEVER wanted to jump into one... because I was scarred by one prior to starting my DotComMommies website. Whenever anyone would approach me I would say no. I had my blinders on and would never take them off to explore that option. So, if you are saying no too.... it is probably because you do not know enough... That has to be the reason because if you understood completely, you would be saying yes.

Well, in the last 2 years, I started following what some of these 6 figure internet gurus are doing. I learned a lot by doing that. I started realizing residual opportunities were my match. It was just a matter of finding the perfect one. I dipped my hands into several different opportunities and this is what I learned.. partnering with the perfect mentor is key.

Well, because of my websites and my two small kids being at home with me.. I don't have a lot of time on my hands.

I can tell you right now.. that I never had the desire to do home parties.. There was no way in heck I wanted to lug loads of bags to someone's house and nor did I want to get up in front of a group of people and speak. That was ruled out and I made the decision of never doing home parties.

Another thing.. my house is not that big.. I certainly didn't want to get involved with sales where you are required to purchase a ton of inventory and stock it in my house. There is a risk of dumping a ton of money and it not working out. I have seen this happen to many people.. Many people dumping $2000 plus into an opportunity and it not working out for them. Not only do I not want to carry product in my home, I also don't have that kind of money to risk.

Here are the benefits of being an independent contractor/self employed with a home based business with a company, etc.:

1. When you work with a home based business opportunity, for example.. you are entitled to write offs. There is no way in heck you would be able to deduct computer, printers, paper, pens, postage, internet service, gas mileage,etc... if you do not work for yourself whether from scratch, telecommuting or with a home based business opportunity. There is no way. If you work a 9-5 JOB you would not be entitled to these deductions. There is obvious advantage to working from home and deducting things can save you thousands of dollars in a year. Go ask any tax professional locally to you and see what they say.

2. Working for yourself is nice because especially with a home based business... noise from your kids is fine.. You work from home with a home based business.. well more then likely most people you talk too that desire the same thing have the kids making noise in the background. The only thing is .. if you telecommute for a job from home.. you are NOT allowed to have any noise especially if that work @ home telecommuting job allows you to work from home. I know this.. I started to take part in an at home work @ home customer service job.. I just had my first child.. they said NO noise where it sounds like I am not in their office. That job went out the window. Then I took part in working from home recruiting.. same thing.. NO noise from kids..that job also went out the door.

3. Working an home based business opportunity or something from scratch.. you are the boss and you can set your own hours. You can go out when you want and not be chained to your home. Oh I don't feel like working one day .. I don't have too. I feel like taking my kids some where.. I can.

4. Income - This is fun.. listen to this.. A work from home job.. you are getting paid by piece in almost all cases. If it is a customer service job from home, you are getting paid by talk minute. If you are marketing or doing sales you are obviously getting paid when something is sold. The income is not stable. Plus, it seems like you have to work harder to get a decent check.. which may require more then normal hours. If you are starting something from scratch.. you are probably selling something whether it is tangible products or information, it is not consistent. I know this because that is how I make money.. I make money through advertising dollars when someone pays me to post their ad or I make money when I sell ebooks. From week to week I have absolutely no idea how much I am going to make. That is frustrating and impacts me paying my bills. NOW, what I have found with a residual home business opportunity is for a one time effort you keep getting paid. . So if I wanted to take a break for a month or go on vacation, I will still earn a check. Just like your insurance agents. Because of that one time effort of you signing that policy that agent will keep earning a monthly income. That is exactly what I am after is the residual stuff. I don't want to have to worry about retailing products to earn an income. That is shaky in my opinion.

Do you see what I am trying to say???? You probably have the blinders on right now. Your eyes are closed to hearing about a home based business opportunity because you are probably afraid that you have to approach the people you know, invest money, carry products in the home, collect money, do home parties, etc.. I know this.. I have met thousands of people just like us online over the last 4 years that all think the same. I feel just like you ... I know it.
